Electronics and Communication Engineering:
Electronics engineers have made remarkable contributions to our world. They helped invent the computer, DSL, cellular phones, microchips, and to name just a few examples. DVD players, cellular phones, radio, television, computers, airplanes, space vehicles, cars, motorcycles, home appliances, life-saving medical equipment, computer games, and Martian battles fought with joysticks represent a mere sampling of the now familiar facets of life made possible with the input of electrical engineers. Ten key industry sectors employ electronics engineers, computer engineers, and computer scientists:
Electronics engineers design, develop, test and supervise the manufacture of electronic equipment such as:
Electronics and Communication Engineering Department in SRCE:
The Electronics and Communication Engineering department was established in the year 2000. The department offers 4 year UG course with an intake of 60 and 2 year PG courses like M.E – Applied Electronics and M.E – VLSI Design with an intake of 18. The department is aiming at the development of student community to face the future world with the latest technical knowledge through research, good leadership qualities, industry-institution interaction and spirit of competence. The department is equipped with well qualified and experienced faculty members imparting high quality of discipline and engineering education. The department is fully equipped with state of the art laboratories. The department simulation lab has the most versatile, powerful and widely networked systems with software like MATLAB, Xilinx, PCB Launcher and RTsim.
Mission:
· To facilitate students acquiring theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills needed for meeting the challenges in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
· To achieve excellence not only in teaching – learning processes but also in adopting innovative techniques required to improve product quality in Electronics and Telecom Industries.
